Jarkko Joki-Tokola

Managing Director

Jarkko Joki-Tokola, (M.Sc. Eng.) has worked as a Co-Founder in CRF Health and Lifeline Ventures. He has been employed in new business development role in his early career at Fortum and Teliasonera, and has lived and worked in the US for nearly 10 years.

Lassi Noponen

Partner

Lassi Noponen is the previous CEO of Loudspring and now part of the investment team. He was a member of the Board since February 2010 and Executive Chairman from November 2010 until May 2018. In addition, Mr. Noponen has been a member of the Board of Directors of Incap Oyj since 2009 and its chairman since 2013. Earlier he was Managing Director of Proventia Group Oy 2000–2006 and one of Proventia Group Oy’s founders. His previous posts include partner and director responsible for mergers and acquisitions at Evli Corporate Finance Oy 1999–2000, and before that, several management posts at Neste Corporation 1992–1999, most recently as Corporate Controller. By education, Mr. Noponen is a Master of Law and M.Sc. (Mgmt) from London Business School.

Timo Linnainmaa

Partner

Timo Linnainmaa is the co-founder of Loudspring and has worked in the cleantech area since 2002, both as an advisor and investor. Timo was Cleantech Invest’s President and CEO 2005–2010. Prior to that, he was a Director of the Environmental Management unit of the Helsinki University of Technology 2002–2005. By education, Timo is a M.Sc. (Technology).

Joshua B. Kirkman

Communications Director

Joshua Burguete-Kirkman is Loudspring’s Communications Director. Previously with a large recycling social enterprise in Australia, he has also dabbled in entrepreneurship himself, winning the prestigious Venture Cup (South, Environment Business) award in 2014. Joshua has been driving Loudspring’s aggressive increase in communications over the past year and a half. Joshua is originally from Australia, but now resides in Lund, Sweden. By education, Joshua has a Graduate Certificate in Commerce and a Bachelors in International Relations and French.

Antonio Gallizio

Chief Investment Officer

Antonio Gallizio is Loudspring’s Chief Investment Officer. Previously, he was working with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) as a startup advisor, as well as an investment advisor for family offices in Los Angeles. He has an M&A background with GEREJE Corporate Finance in Singapore, and Impact Investing with Heart Capital in Cape Town, South Africa. By education, Antonio is a BSBA from Northeastern University in Boston, and is also a trained chef, having worked in South America for Chef Francis Mallmann.

Alf-Oskar Witting

Controller

Alf-Oskar Witting is Loudspring’s Controller. With an accounting background from Hanken School of Economics, Alf-Oskar has previously worked in diverse positions mainly in the financial sector in Finland.

Tiina Kähö

Board Member

Tiina Kähö is the Executive Director of the Helsinki Metropolitan Smart & Clean Foundation. This public-private co-operation project is turning the Helsinki metropolitan area into the world’s best test bed for climate and circular solutions. Tiina has more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and the energy business. Before her position at Smart & Clean, Tiina was leading Sitra’s (Finnish Innovation Fund) focus area on industrial transformation into carbon-neutral society. Between 2008-2014 she held several executive positions within Pöyry Plc, where she was in charge of their environmental consulting businesses - providing consulting services to global clients within energy, mining & metals, chemicals & biorefining, transportation, waste & water, and real estate. During 2000-2008 Tiina was leading the environmental consulting business at Sito Ltd, focusing on infrastructure planning and operations. Tiina has also been a teacher and lecturer at Aalto University. Tiina has an M.Sc. (Econ) in Corporate Environmental Management from the University of Jyväskylä.

Johan Strömberg

Board Member

Johan Strömberg is a partner at Nordia Law Firm in Stockholm since 1992. He was also CEO of Nordia Law for two periods. Johan is the founder and board member of the Lennart Johansson Foundation whose aim is to promote the prerequisites for good leadership in the national and international football federations and football clubs, focusing on democracy, equality, and anti-corruption. He is also a board member of WHYRED, a fashion company; ACC a profile clothing company and HLK Ab, an investment company. He was chairman of the board of AIK (Sweden’s biggest football club) from 2008 to 2013. Johan specializes in company law, dispute resolution, media, sports and entertainment, real estate and construction, insurance, and tort law.

Matti Vuoria

Chairman of the Board

After a decade of service as the CEO of VARMA Mutual Pension Insurance Company Matti Vuoria retired in 2014. He is currently Chairman of the Board at YIT Oyj. His previous board positions include Stora Enso Oyj, Wartsilä Oyj, Sampo Oyj, Orion Oyj and Danisco (Denmark) as well as Nordic Investment Bank. He was the full-time Chairman of Fortum Oyj for five years during 1998-2003. Matti Vuoria is a member of the Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Catharina Burch

Board Member

Catharina Burch is one of our newly elected board members at Loudspring who brings strong experience in communications and marketing strategy. Previously, Catharina served as Communications Manager at Assurance within Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Catharina has 20 years of experience in business marketing communication within industries such as financial (PwC, VPD), telecommunications (Telia Company), IT (Insight Technology Solutions), consulting (Avega Group) and medical (Medtronic).

Catharina has a Master’s degree in Information, Communication and Public Relations at Berghs School of Communication and at IHM Business School. Over the years she has gathered vast experience in company transformation and growth, mergers and acquisitions, stock-listings, as well as working with privately-held and public-owned businesses.

James Penney

Board Member

James Penney is the Chairman of London based Darwin Property Investment Management Limited and chairs the Investment Committee. In 2015 Darwin Property Investment Management Limited was named ‘Alternative Investment Manager of the Year’ at European Pension Awards and ‘Alternatives Manager of the Year’ by LAPF Investment Awards. James Penney is also the owner and MD of Darwin Consulting. Prior to founding Darwin Consulting, James Penney had an academic career including undergraduate and doctoral studies at Trinity College, Cambridge, as Principal Lecturer at Westminster College, Oxford and as a Sloan Fellow at London Business School from which he has a M.Sc. in Management Studies.
